MIKS ZVIRBULIS. Lielais Kristaps Lifetime Achievement award. Screening + soiree!

2015 Lielais Kristaps Lifetime Achievement Award goes to the outstanding cinematographer Miks Zvirbulis for his work on some 40 documentaries and features. During his creative career Zvirbulis has worked with many excellent Latvian film directors. Miks Zvirbulis is an authority who has his own sense of style and a talent to find solutions to the drama of his own life. He is known to have been able to keep a high spirit in production teams, could encourage people to work well and with ease, making it possible sometimes with humour or an apt quote, some other times with a question, an advice, or just a look, or an unbelievable story from the life of fishermen. We will be honouring Miks Zvirbulis on a special occasion on October 21, which will also include a screening of one of his best films from 1967, “Take a Deep Breath”.
